2Non-Profit and Commercial customers must have a dedicated IP address, administered either by themselves or by an ESP.
Requirement for Dedicated IP Address(es)
Currently, in order to join Sender Score Certified in the Non-Profit or Commercial Class, you must send your email from a dedicated (i.e., unshared) IP address or set of IP addresses. Your organization may control this itself, or another organization may already provide it for you. If you are not sure if you have a dedicated IP address, please contact your Email Service Provider (ESP) or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
If you do not have a dedicated IP address, you can join Sender Score Certified through one of our Reseller Partners. Please contact us and we can refer you to an authorized Email Service Provider who can provide this service to you.
Pricing Component Description
For Senders, there are two financial components:
- An application fee
- An annual license fee
1. Application Fee
A. Non-Refundable:
Senders pay a non-refundable application fee when applying to Sender Score Certified. This fee goes to covering the expense of processing submissions, reviewing applications and certifying new senders. Senders who do not meet the Sender Score Certified standards, or cannot be certified for any other reason, do not get the application fee returned.
B. Re-Certification:
Senders may be required to undergo re-certification (at most annually) if there have been material changes in the program email standards. The level of re-certification required will be commensurate with the number and nature of changes to the email standards.
For Senders in good standing that are renewing to the then current Email Sender Standards, recertification fees are as follows:
- $175 if a Sender sends less than 500,000 messages per month
- $350 if a Sender sends more than 500,000 messages per month
2. Annual License Fee
Senders pay an annual license fee when applying to Sender Score Certified. This fee goes primarily to Return Path to cover the expense of building and managing the service. A sender will only be charged if it has been certified successfully.
